Credit Score Needed for Gap Store Credit Card

The Gap Credit Card is issued by GE Money Bank (GEMB) for Gap customers. Cardholders can enjoy benefits such as notice of advance sales, discounts, and online account access. Gap Credit Cards can be used at Gap affiliates including Old Navy, Banana Republic, Piperlime, and Athleta. Members can manage their credit card account information anytime using the online account system. Online access allows card-members to review balances, make payments, check rewards, add authorized users, and receive paperless statements.

Credit limits of up to $500 are generally offered to first time applicants with credit scores around 650 is not uncommon with the Gap in-store credit card — being able to get a credit limit of $1500 after 9 months of on-time monthly payments. It is also relatively easy to qualify for this credit card with a credit score of 700 or above generally getting you automatic approval. Some people have received a Gap credit card with a credit score of 627 with no delinquencies starting with $200 credit limits, pushing their credit score up 25 points.
