Have at Least Three Open Accounts to Raise Your FICO Credit Score

Having more than one credit account can boost your credit score. If possible, strive for at least three good accounts.

If possible, re-open closed accounts — accounts closed by consumers can decrease credit score, especially if the account was older.

Contact the creditor and re-open the closed account — this maneuver couldĀ raise your FICO score by 30 points.
