Though you can get a free credit report easily with no credit card, one popular website, Credit Karma, allows you to retrieve your credit score without providing any payment information.

Discover started including customers’ FICO scores on monthly bills and on online accounts in early 2014. According to FICO numbers quoted by Discover, 87 percent of consumers’ credit scores fluctuate from month to month, with changes of as much as 20 points. These monthly credit scores can help customers receive real-time notification of any changes that could signal an error or abuse of their credit.

Wells Fargo bank announced Wednesday it will be offering free credit scores and credit reports to all of its customers through November 16, 2014 — you can get these scores by obtaining a personal access code from a Wells Fargo branch. The bank also has provided some credit management tips on its website as part of the promotion. Wells Fargo also offered free credit reports and credit scores in 2013 and 2012.

Now through Sunday November 16, 2014 — Wells Fargo is offering customers a free view of their credit scores as well as complimentary credit reports, according to a statement from the bank. This is the third year the bank is offering its Free Credit Score promotion, which more than 800,000 customers have taken advantage of since it first rolled out in 2012.
